match_type is an optional argument that specifies the type of match you want to perform, such as an exact match or the closest match. lookup_array is the range of cells to search in lookup_value is the value you want to find It searches for the value you specify and returns the relative position of the first occurrence of that value within the range.
The MATCH function in Microsoft Excel is a function used to find the relative position of a specified value within a range of cells. The MATCH function has many uses which I will discuss below but first let me tell you about the MATCH function.
